There's Something for Everyone at Graceland. You've heard the music, now see the place Elvis called home. Explore the beautiful mansion, walk the gardens where he found peace, tour the aircraft that he traveled on from show to show, and encounter Elvis Presley's Memphis entertainment complex for an unforgettable experience featuring legendary costumes, artifacts, and personal mementos from Elvis and his family.
As part of the official FreedomFest excursion, our very own Elvis impersonator will entertain you with singing and storytelling on the way to (or from) Presley's home! The 5-hour excursion includes round-trip motor coach transportation from downtown Memphis to Graceland. We recommend eating a meal before the excursion, but there are cafes and snack bars at the Elvis complex.
The Birthplace of Rock 'n Roll and Home of the Blues. On this full day excursion, the journey is just as fun as the destination! A local historian-musician will entertain you with singing and storytelling on your private bus tour to four major music destinations.
At Sun Studio, known worldwide as “The Birthplace of Rock ’n Roll,” see where musical legends B.B. King, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, and Jerry Lee Lewis were discovered. Take a walk on Beale Street, home of legendary live music, and enjoy lunch on your own on one of the most iconic streets in America. Experience Stax Museum, where Otis Redding's "Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay" was recorded. Visit The Rock ‘n’ Soul Museum’s exhibition about the birth of rock and soul music, created by the Smithsonian Institution.
The Greatest Civil Rights Story Ever Told. At the place of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s death in 1968 in Memphis, TN, the National Civil Rights Museum at the Lorraine Motel is a renowned educational and cultural institution. The Museum chronicles the American Civil Rights Movement with compelling presentations of iconic exhibits, oral histories of lesser-known civil rights foot soldiers, and visceral, in-the-moment experiences. Visitors will learn through emotionally charged, multi-user, multi-touch interactives, and a visually engaging, contemporary exhibit design that guides you through five centuries of history.
FreedomFest attendees will be treated onsite to a private lecture by one of our historians! This 2-3 hour excursion will meet directly at the National Civil Rights Museum.
